What we do

Lopezlab is a strategic communication and design studio based in Amsterdam led by Mariola Lopez Mariño. We help organisations communicate with clarity, structure and purpose. From pitch decks and institutional storytelling to cultural, corporate and sustainability projects. We work across culture, the environmental sector, public institutions and business, translating ideas and data into strong narratives and precise visual systems, with a solid track record in high-stakes communication that helps teams move from ambiguity to alignment.

Lopezlab is led by Mariola Lopez Mariño, a designer and strategic communicator who works at the intersection of content and visual design, bringing clarity and structure to projects with complexity, sensitivity or high stakes. We collaborate with a small core group, including designers André Grobbée and Claudia Lasarte, and supported by senior specialists in research, writing, strategy, design and digital work assembled as needed, a flexible model that keeps the work sharp, efficient and aligned with each project’s demands.

Our method is grounded in understanding, structuring and shaping: we clarify the context, define what matters and organise content into a coherent narrative, then translate it into a precise visual system that supports persuasion, alignment and visibility, a process built on asking the right questions, removing noise and making decisions readable.
